The first quarterly update to SEDAR+ was completed on December 3, 2023. This is the first in a series of regular system updates, which will enhance both the filing and public search experience.
Key changes included in the December 2023 update include:
Search enhancements
- Search results ordered from most recent to least recent, by default.
- Users select whether to view 10, 30, 50, 75 or 100 search results on a page.
- Download up to 30 documents from the search results page.
- New search filters available, including ‘operator’ and ‘stock symbol’. ‘Operator’ enables searching by either ‘starts with’ or ‘contains’.
- Save a link to an issuer’s profile and documents.
- Additional improvements that simplify the search experience, such as updating explanatory text, field labels and search options.
New email alerts for financial disclosure documents
- New option to subscribe to email alerts for financial disclosure documents of up to 50 companies.
- Email alerts are sent each day at 8 p.m. ET, with links to any new documents for selected companies.
- Read more details on how to Create or Modify your SEDAR+ Financial Documents Alert Subscription.
Workaround removed for some Investment Fund Managers (IFMs)
- IFMs who file on behalf of Investment Fund Groups with a large number of funds are able to submit all funds at the same time filing for long-form prospectuses, rather than the previous limit of 20 at a time.
- Note: The workaround remains in place for simplified prospectus filings for Investment Fund Groups (IFGs) that have more than 20 funds. This issue will be fixed in early 2024, before the next quarterly application update.
Password reset reminders
- SEDAR+ Authorized Super Users and Authorized Users receive automated messages when their password is about to expire.
- Passwords expire after 45 days. Users receive automated reminders five days and one day before their password expiries.
Fee corrections
- Removal of certain fee attributes where FCNB had removed fees.
- Addition of certain fee attributes for Nova Scotia Securities Commission (NSSC).
File naming
- Files that have commas or periods in the file names can be uploaded to SEDAR+.
