How to Subscribe

DDS subscriptions are set up through a guided process with the CSA DDS team, so the feeds, formats, and licensing match how you plan to use the data.

Our process is:

  1. Get in touch: Email the DDS team to start the conversation. Include a short description of what you’re building and which data you’re interested in.
  2. Understand your data needs: We meet to understand the details of your use case, including how you plan to use the data and how DDS data will integrate into your environment.
  3. Walkthrough technical and commercial details: We share the technical details relevant to your use case — formats, schemas, delivery, documentation — alongside pricing and licensing options that fit how you’ll use the data.
  4. Activate your subscription: Once a subscription is in place, we set up your delivery endpoint, share technical documentation, and support your integration.

DDS FAQs

Below are answers to the questions we hear most often from organizations considering DDS. The DDS team is here to answer any of your questions and start the conversation about your data needs.

The CSA Data Distribution Services (DDS) provide structured, bulk access to data from three Canadian Securities Administrators national systems: SEDAR+, NRD, and SEDI. DDS is used by organizations that integrate Canadian regulatory data into their own platforms, products, and internal systems.

DDS provides access to:

  • SEDAR+: public company and investment fund regulatory filings and disclosure data.
  • NRD: registration data for dealers, advisors, and their representatives.
  • SEDI: insider reporting data, including insider profiles, transactions, and holdings.

You can choose one, two, or all three system data feeds.

Data is delivered as structured files to a secure endpoint. SEDAR+ data is delivered in real time as filings are published. NRD and SEDI data are delivered daily. Technical details about formats, schemas, and delivery are shared during the scoping conversation with the DDS team.

The public websites are designed for individual lookups and disclosure access. DDS is designed for organizations that need bulk, structured access to the underlying data to power their own systems, products, and workflows. In both cases, the data comes from the same CSA national systems.

Yes. DDS supports a range of licensing arrangements, including internal organizational use, commercial redistribution, and hybrid uses. Specific licensing terms are confirmed with the DDS team based on how you plan to use the data.

Timelines depend on the systems you subscribe to, your integration approach, and your internal processes. The DDS team walks through expected timing during the scoping conversation.

SEDAR+, NRD, and SEDI data is available from the launch of each current system forward. Historical filings from SEDAR (the predecessor to SEDAR+) are available separately and use a different schema. The DDS team can explain what’s available based on what you need.

Email the DDS team at data-distribution-services@csa-acvm.ca. We’ll set up a scoping conversation to understand your use case, walk through the technical and commercial details relevant to you, and confirm pricing and licensing options.
