The final stretch: SEDAR+ goes live next week

This is it. We are in the final days of the transition to SEDAR+ and plan to take the new system live on Tuesday, July 25. This is an important moment for the CSA, as we prepare to introduce a modernized, web-based system that will, over time, meet the evolving needs of capital market participants.

It all starts tomorrow – July 20 – when we begin the process of transferring data from the existing systems to SEDAR+. I encourage you to read our article “Four things you need to know about the SEDAR+ cutover and launch” to ensure you are prepared. We also share important information on “How to search for issuer information in SEDAR+”, as that process will change once the new system is live.

While our teams at the CSA have been on the SEDAR+ journey for some time, the journey is just beginning for many of you. We recognize that SEDAR+ represents a significant change for all users – whether you use legacy systems to file, disclose, or search for issuer information.

We are here to help.

24/7 support

In the days following the launch of SEDAR+, our dedicated support team will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to support filing organizations, issuers, investors and other users with the transition.

We have also created a number of helpful resources to support you throughout the launch, including:

  • SEDAR+ Help Centre – this is where you’ll find articles and instructions about the system’s specific features and functionality.
  • SEDAR+ Learning Centre – this is where you’ll find step-by-step videos that can be searched by user type, topic and/or keywords.

We are also communicating regularly with filing organizations through the CSA Service Desk. If you are an existing SEDAR subscriber or future SEDAR+ filer, keep an eye on your inbox for important and timely updates.

Prudent approach

The CSA has taken a prudent approach to the development of and transition to SEDAR+. We have conducted extensive testing on the system and have strict quality control standards, which will remain in place throughout the cutover, launch and future updates to SEDAR+.

We are committed. We are prepared. And we look forward to introducing the new system to you all in just a few days.

Sincerely,
David Fountain
